Pobal’s Mission is to work on behalf of Government and in partnership with our various stakeholders to improve outcomes, particularly for people experiencing disadvantage and social exclusion.

The statutory body which supports the provision of information, advice and advocacy on a broad range of public and social services. The Citizens Information Board provides the Citizens Information website and supports the network of Citizens Information Centres and the Citizens Information Phone Service. It also funds and supports the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS).

November 1st 2014 marked the establishment in law of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission. The basis for the new Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission has its origins in the Good Friday/Belfast Agreement and is a requirement north and south of the island of Ireland. Our purpose as an independent national human rights and equality institution is to protect and promote human rights and equality in Ireland. We aim to build a welcoming organisation that nurtures a culture of respect for human rights, equality and intercultural understanding across society.

The National Disability Authority is the independent state body providing expert advice on disability policy and practice to the government and the public sector, and promoting Universal Design in Ireland.
