What is a journal article?

A journal article is much like a magazine article in that it is usually produced in a publication that is released at regular intervals throughout the year called academic journals. The articles usually consist of original research or writings in the specific field the journal is interested in. They are usually peer- reviewed, meaning that its put through a process to test its credibility and reliability. Meaning they are sources of quite high quality.
