Assignments are tasks that prepare you for deeper academic work. They can teach you how to do research, how to write in an academic context and how to structure a paper.
They also teach you how to focus and to answer the question posed and to meet other requirements such as word count.
The critical thing is to know what the assignment is about before you start.
It is important to select the right keywords for your search.
If you're not getting the results you're expecting choose different keywords or use synonyms (e.g. teenager, adolescent, youth).
